DSQ ORCHESTRA
The DSQ Orchestra, a 17 piece jazz ensemble, was formed in Sept 07 with the main soloists of the orchestra also making up the Dave Stapleton Quintet. The quintet released their highly critically acclaimed album 'The House Always Wins' in September 2007 with rave reviews form Guardian, Jazzwise and Independent On Sunday.
The orchestra's material is a reworked version of the quintet's repertoire providing new twists, counter melodies for the additional instruments. Each part is based around one improvisor and one reader, except for the strings which will be entierely notated.
